In many nations, a stamp collector is a special source of revenue. The stamps offered by theses countries far exceed the postal need of the nations.

Although the main group of collectors choose to invest in a few special things to better display, security and inspection of their stamps is always required. The simple and low cost method to store stamps is to put them in glassine envelopes and put them in a box which is free from humidity, light, and heat.
